Alessandro Del Piero sent off Antonio Cassano after a lunge on Simone Zaza in the box and then sent a free-kick over the goalkeeper’s head after a foul by Lorenzo Insigne.
Milan have been on a run of four consecutive defeats but they are still without a win since October.
ACMilan are unbeaten in their last nine matches, but are without Zaza and Alessandro Nesta.
Lazio will have their eyes on the Coppa Italia final on Sunday, with Sampdoria also set to make their return.
